We understand the importance of variety, so we make every effort to have inventory for all ages, styles, ethnicities, and socio-economic classes. Many consignment shops cater only towards the high-end client, but what about our everyday stylish budget conscious woman? Here at New Digz, we have something for everyone; from the budget conscious woman to the woman who doesn’t mind to splurge every once in a while. So if you are the professional woman, stay at home mom or a fashionista at heart, your treasures are here awaiting you.
A message from the owners
New Digz is a boutique style consignment shop where you can find clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories for women. Our goal is for you to have had an “experience” by the time you leave our doors. So whether you choose to shop or consign, you can expect to have an easy, engaging and effortless process. Quite simply, our philosophy is to provide unparalleled customer service while offering quality merchandise at affordable prices.
We have gone through great depths to ensure that our shop is quaint, welcoming and cozy. Our staff is friendly and helpful. Here, you will find mid-priced to high end brands and even some “fast fashion” pieces that you love, at a fraction of the cost.
We would love to have you at our store! So whenever you have items that you no longer desire, new items with tags that you haven’t gotten the opportunity to wear, or you simply just need to “spring clean” your closet; we will be here to service you. Kelli Queen, Founding Partner
Kelli is a graduate of Virginia Union University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance. While in college and as a young adult, Kelli turned her passion for fashion into employment at several retail venues including Victoria Secret, Lacoste, and Lord and Taylor.
She began shopping consignment in her early 20s, way before consignment and “thrifting” became a trend. She says “Now you are considered to be a “savvy” consumer for shopping consignment or thrift”, whereas 20 years ago, shopping second-hand was considered “taboo”. Kelli has a keen sense of what it takes to be successful in a retail environment, which includes having ample product knowledge, being sales-oriented, and being customer-focused among many other things. Customer-focus, Kelli believes, is the number one attribute all businesses should embrace and chooses to refer to patrons of New Digz as clients because of the ongoing relationships established with consumers and consigners alike.
In addition, her 15 years in Operational Risk and Vendor Management at a Fortune 50 company directly benefits the day-to-day operations of the boutique.
Sadiqa Brown, Founding Partner
Sadiqa is a graduate of Howard University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in International Business with a concentration in Finance. Prior to attending Howard, she worked at adidas America in Basketball Promotions where she worked with high profile NBA athletes, college and high school teams across the country. Her role in Basketball Promotions taught her how to strategically promote a brand, engage high-profile clients, provide top-notch customer service, and to proactively anticipate a client's need.
During her years as a Derivatives Senior Manager and later transitioning to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer at Freddie Mac, Sadiqa managed the servicing of a multi-million dollar portfolio, analyzed trends and strategies, and identified risks and evaluated their potential impact.
In addition to the accomplishments above, Sadiqa has been a successful real estate investor for the past 16 years. She got her start in early 2000 by renting out her first property to Howard University students and has expanded progressively since that time. Her business knowledge, commitment to excellence, and experiences give her the advantage necessary to successfully build and brand New Digz Consignment into a multi-million dollar business.
