At New Digz, authentication starts with our experienced team. We are the first line of defense, evaluating the bag's construction, materials, hardware, markings, and overall consistency. But we don't stop there. We leverage professional authentication services to provide an additional layer of verification because we believe in taking every reasonable step to protect our consignors and customers.
Since 2016, New Digz has partnered with Entrupy to authenticate eligible designer handbags and other luxury items before accepting them for consignment. We trusted Entrupy to help protect the integrity of the merchandise we sell—and we've continued that partnership ever since.
We were so pleased with the service that we decided to make professional authentication available to you, too—even if you're not consigning your item with New Digz.
Whether you want peace of mind about an item you already own or need an item authenticated for another purpose, our professional authentication service is available at both New Digz locations.
Our Authentication Services
We work with two professional authentication services, selecting the service best suited to the brand and item being evaluated.
Authenticated by Entrupy
Entrupy is our primary authentication service for eligible luxury handbags, shoes, and other supported items.
Entrupy combines advanced technology with expert analysis to evaluate an item's authenticity. Authenticated items receive an Entrupy Certificate of Authenticity, backed by Entrupy's financial guarantee.
Typical turnaround: 10–60 minutes
If an item is determined to be inauthentic through Entrupy, you may also request an Entrupy Letter of Evidence for an additional $15. This documentation may be useful when disputing a purchase with a seller, marketplace, or other party.
Verified by Real Authentication
For items outside Entrupy's coverage, we use Real Authentication, an expert human authentication service that covers a broader range of luxury goods.
Depending on the brand and item, Real Authentication can evaluate:
- Handbags
- Shoes
- Jewelry
- Scarves
- Clothing
- Accessories
- Additional designer brands
Typical turnaround: 24 hours
Expedited service may also be available for an additional fee.

Your authentication fee includes our appointment service and submission of your item to the appropriate professional authentication service.
Expedited Real Authentication service is available for an additional fee when offered.
Walk-Ins Welcome
No appointment is required. Walk-ins are welcome at both New Digz locations.
Appointments are also available if you'd prefer to schedule your visit in advance.
Because authentication requires processing time, please plan accordingly. Entrupy authentication typically takes 10–60 minutes, while Real Authentication typically takes 24 hours.

For items outside Entrupy's coverage, we may use Real Authentication, which supports a broader range of luxury goods including jewelry, scarves, clothing, and additional designer brands.
Coverage varies by brand and item, so we'll determine the appropriate authentication service for your item.
How long does authentication take?
Entrupy: Typically 10–60 minutes.
Real Authentication: Typically 24 hours.
Expedited service may be available through Real Authentication for an additional fee.
What happens if my item doesn't pass authentication?
If an item submitted through Entrupy is determined to be inauthentic, you may request an Entrupy Letter of Evidence for an additional $15.

Do I need to be consigning my item with New Digz?
Not at all.
Our authentication service is open to everyone. You can have an item authenticated whether you are:
- Selling it elsewhere
- Consigning it with another business
- A New Digz consignor
- Simply looking for peace of mind about an item you already own
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome.
You can visit either New Digz location during business hours for authentication. Appointments are also available if you'd prefer to schedule your visit in advance.
Does the item need to be physically present?
Yes. We must have the physical item in hand to perform an authentication.
We cannot authenticate an item from photographs, online listings, descriptions, or other images alone.
What should I bring?
Bring the item you'd like authenticated.
Original packaging, dust bags, receipts, authenticity cards, boxes, and other accessories can be helpful, but they are not required.
