Giving Back to Our Community

At New Digz Consignment, community isn't a campaign — it's a commitment. Over the years, we've shown up in ways big and small, because we believe a thriving business has a responsibility to the people and places that support it.

How We Support Our Community

  • Community Furlough Lunch — In January 2019, we organized an upscale lunch for furloughed government employees — because standing in a food line shouldn't feel demoralizing. We rallied local businesses including Too Blessed Too Be Stressed, TB & Co. Catering, Karamel Kisses, The Fabulous Life Events, Sweet Treats Couture, and Poppin Chic Gourmet Popcorn, who all donated food and services. The 40 available spots filled within minutes — a reminder of just how deep the need was, and how much community shows up when you lead with heart.
  • Feminine Hygiene Products for Middle Schoolers — We've donated essential hygiene products to local middle school students, because no young person should have to worry about the basics.
  • School Backpack Supplies — We've donated supplies to help local students start the school year ready to learn.
  • College Scholarships — We've awarded scholarships to support students pursuing higher education in our community.
  • Thousands of Pieces Donated Annually — Each year, we donate thousands of clothing items to organizations and charities across our region, because access to quality clothing shouldn't depend on your circumstances.
  • Supporting a Client Through Cancer — We donated 10% of monthly sales to support a longtime client during her battle with cancer, helping ease the financial burden during one of life's most difficult seasons.
  • Giving Beyond Our Circle — We also donated 10% of proceeds to support a woman in our community who suffered a stroke — someone we had never met. Because compassion doesn't require a prior connection.
  • Poppin Chic Movement Partnership — For more than four years, we've partnered with the Poppin Chic Movement — supporting clothing drives, community outreach, and initiatives that put meals and resources in the hands of those who need them most.
  • Small Business Month Pop-Up Space — Each November, we open our doors to fellow small businesses, offering complimentary retail space because we know how hard it is to get your foot in the door — and we want to help.

Championing Local Creatives & Small Businesses

We don't just sell — we uplift. New Digz actively partners with and champions local creatives, boutiques, and small businesses, helping to build a stronger, more connected DMV community.

This is only a glimpse. Many of our contributions go unannounced — not because they're small, but because giving back doesn't always need an audience.
